Attachment Parenting
International of Norman, OklahomaWelcome to API of Norman. Your leaders are Rachel Losey, Jean Giles, and Steve Presson. We are a non-profit parental support group that is affiliated with Attachment Parenting International.
Attachment parenting is a responsive style of parenting that works to build strong bonds between child and parent, which develops trust within the child that his or her emotional needs will be met. This strong attachment helps the child learn how to develop secure, enduring relationships.
Membership Information
Memberships are extrememly important; they are our key source of income and allow us to maintain the group and also allow us to spread the word about attachment parenting even further. Membership is $35 per year (of which $15 remains in the group) and is payable through the group leaders. Membership includes quarterly issues of "Attachment Parenting: The Journal of Attachment Parenting" and access to the group library. All donations are appreciated and are tax detuctible. While membership in API is encouraged, it is not required to attend regular meetings.

Take the OK-9 E exit- EXIT 108A- toward UNIV. OF OKLA./TECUMSEH
Stay straight on Highway 9 East.
Turn right (going south) onto West Imhoff Road.
The church is at 1601 W. Imhoff.
